COSMIC MESSAGE
This 'hall of fog' is an optical illusion created by sunlight backscattering off a cloud. The cloud is passing below a mountain peak from which this picture was taken. Known as a fogbow, and similar to 'the glory,' this phenomenon is sometimes seen from airplanes. The ring's center appears near the image bottom, where the photographer's shadow is visible.
