COSMIC MESSAGE
Sometimes, a slowly drifting 'star' overhead is actually a spacecraft in low Earth orbit. These objects reflect sunlight as they circle Earth every 90 minutes. The International Space Station (ISS) and, when in orbit, a NASA space shuttle are two of the brightest examples. Their brightness changes as they rotate and present different surfaces to the sun.
