Centaurus A, a nearby active galaxy, expels radio jets over a million light-years long. These jets, powered by a supermassive black hole, span an angular area more than 200 times the full Moon in Earth's sky. This image, combining radio data from the Australian Telescope Compact Array, shows these immense structures rising from the galaxy's core. The black hole creates these fast-moving jets as other matter falls into it.
