NGC 7635: The Bubble Nebula

NASA APOD · Larry Van Vleet
COSMIC MESSAGE

NGC 7635, the Bubble Nebula, is being pushed out by the stellar wind of its massive central star BD+602522. Next door, a giant molecular cloud contains the expansion of the bubble gas. The cloud is blasted by hot radiation from the bubble's central star. This radiation heats up dense regions of the molecular cloud, causing it to glow.
