Sunrise at Tycho

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

Tycho crater's central peak complex casts a long shadow near local sunrise in this lunar landscape. The Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter recorded this oblique view on June 10, 2011. The rugged complex, about 15 kilometers wide, formed from the giant impact that created the well-known ray crater 100 million years ago.
