IC 1805: The Heart Nebula

COSMIC MESSAGE
The Heart Nebula, IC 1805, sprawls almost 200 light-years across. It is a mix of glowing interstellar gas and dark dust clouds, located about 7,500 light-years away in the Perseus spiral arm of our galaxy. Near its center are the massive hot stars of a newborn star cluster, Melotte 15, which is about 1.5 million years old.
