COSMIC MESSAGE
The Soul Nebula, IC 1848, is a large star-forming region in the constellation Cassiopeia. It contains several open clusters of stars and a strong radio source, W5. Powerful winds from young, massive stars have carved out huge, evacuated bubbles within the nebula. The Soul Nebula is about 6,500 light-years away, a stellar nursery.
