The Pleiades Deep and Dusty

NASA APOD · David Lane
COSMIC MESSAGE

The Pleiades, a cluster of young, hot stars, is slowly moving through a cloud of gas and dust. This interaction creates the glowing blue reflection nebula you see here. The cluster, also known as the Seven Sisters, is one of the brightest in our sky. It is about 400 light-years away in the constellation Taurus.
