Globules in the Running Chicken Nebula

COSMIC MESSAGE
These small, dark molecular clouds, called Thackeray's Globules, are seen within the Running Chicken Nebula, IC 2944. These dense knots of cosmic dust are potential sites for new star formation. The nebula, located in the constellation Centaurus, is about 6,000 light-years away.
