MyCn18, an hourglass-shaped planetary nebula, shows the final stage of a star like our Sun. Its outer layers are ejected, forming delicate rings of gas that glow in different colors: nitrogen in red, hydrogen in green. The Hubble Space Telescope captured this image in 1995.
