COSMIC MESSAGE

AE Aurigae, also known as the Flaming Star, illuminates the surrounding IC 405 nebula. The region appears to have the color of fire, but there is no actual combustion. The glowing material is mostly interstellar hydrogen, energized by the star's radiation, not burning oxygen.
