COSMIC MESSAGE
The Pelican Nebula, officially IC 5070, is slowly being transformed. It is divided from the North America Nebula by a molecular cloud filled with dark dust. The Pelican is studied for its active mix of star formation and evolving gas clouds, visible here in light from sulfur, hydrogen, and oxygen.
