Unusual Clouds over Hong Kong
NASA APOD · Alfred Lee
COSMIC MESSAGE
Earlier this month, two unusual types of clouds appeared high above Hong Kong. In the foreground was a long lenticular cloud, often formed near mountains by rising air. Higher in the sky, a colorful iridescent cloud glowed. Iridescent clouds are made of water droplets that diffract sunlight into different colors.
