Saturn glows in infrared light, here shown in false colors. While the planet itself appears dark in the bluest infrared band, its thin rings brightly reflect sunlight. The B ring is so thick that it absorbs much of the reflected light. This composite image highlights different features of the giant ringed planet, making it look like a neon sign.
