Even in Chile's high Atacama Desert, clouds can appear. This image shows the domes of the twin 6.5 meter Magellan telescopes of Carnegie Las Campanas Observatory. A first quarter Moon and bright stars shine through, with the lunar disk surrounded by a beautiful, bright halo.
