Pluto Flyover from New Horizons

In 2015, the New Horizons spacecraft flew past Pluto, capturing images that show what it might be like to soar over its surface. Mountains of water ice, colored by frozen nitrogen, emerge from the dawn. To the right, a vast, flat plain of nitrogen ice stretches out. This simulated flyover, created from New Horizons data, reveals the diverse and surprising terrain of this distant world.
