COSMIC MESSAGE

NGC 3621 is a spiral galaxy located 22 million light-years away in the constellation Hydra. Its winding arms are filled with blue star clusters, pink star-forming regions, and dark dust lanes. Astronomers have used some of its brighter stars as standard candles to estimate extragalactic distances.
