COSMIC MESSAGE

M13, the Great Globular Cluster in Hercules, is one of the brightest globular clusters in the northern sky. It contains hundreds of thousands of stars. The cluster is 25,000 light-years away and 150 light-years in diameter. Edmond Halley noted in 1716 that it was visible to the naked eye.
