COSMIC MESSAGE
It is possible to capture the entire plane of our galaxy in two images. The top part of this image shows the night sky above Lebanon, taken when the Milky Way's central band was directly overhead. The bottom half was captured six months later in Chile, south of the equator. Together, these two images present a complete view of our galactic plane.
