Jupiter, the largest planet in our solar system, hosts the Great Red Spot, a storm system that has lasted for centuries. Although it could swallow Earth, the storm has been shrinking. Historical records show it is now about one-third the size it was 150 years ago. This image from the Hubble Space Telescope shows the current state of this iconic feature.
