COSMIC MESSAGE
Gamma Cygni, or Sadr, sits at the heart of the Northern Cross, a famous asterism in the constellation Cygnus the Swan. This image spans nearly four degrees of sky, capturing a complex of stars, dust clouds, and glowing nebulae along the plane of our Milky Way galaxy. Within this field are emission nebula IC 1318 and open star cluster NGC 6910. The region is a part of our galactic neighborhood.
