On January 3, 2019, the Chinese Chang'e-4 spacecraft made the first successful landing on the Moon's farside. This image, taken by a camera on the lander, shows the Yutu 2 rover as it rolled onto the surface. The rover is exploring Von Karman crater, a large impact feature within the Moon's South Pole-Aitken Basin.
