47 Tucanae, also known as NGC 104, is a globular star cluster in the southern sky. It contains hundreds of thousands of stars packed into a small volume, orbiting in the halo of our Milky Way Galaxy. Located about 13,000 light-years away in the constellation Tucana, it is the second brightest globular cluster visible from Earth.
