Barred spiral galaxy NGC 2525 is 70 million light-years away in the constellation Puppis. It spans about 60,000 light-years, with spiral arms full of dust clouds, massive blue stars, and pink star-forming regions. The Hubble Space Telescope captured this view. In January 2018, supernova SN 2018gv appeared on the galaxy's outskirts, becoming the brightest star in the lower left of the frame.
