NASA APOD · Don Goldman
COSMIC MESSAGE

In the heart of the Rosette Nebula lies NGC 2244, a bright open cluster of stars. These stars formed from the surrounding gas only a few million years ago. Hot winds of particles stream away from the cluster stars. This image, taken in January, uses specific colors of Sulfur, Hydrogen, and Oxygen to capture the central region in detail.
