COSMIC MESSAGE
The Rosette Nebula, also known as NGC 2237, is an emission nebula with a flowery appearance. Inside, the open cluster NGC 2244 formed about four million years ago. The stellar winds from these young stars are clearing a hole in the nebula's center. This image shows the nebula atop a long stem of glowing hydrogen gas.
