Jupiter has aurorae and lightning, just like Earth. Unlike Earth, Jupiter's lightning occurs mostly near its poles. The Juno spacecraft, in orbit around Jupiter since 2016, captured this image of a lightning storm near Jupiter's north pole. This image helps scientists understand the differences between the two planets' electrical activity.
