A Spiral Aurora over Iceland

COSMIC MESSAGE
This aurora over Iceland in 2015 was exceptionally bright and developed quickly. It resulted from a solar storm, where high-energy particles from the Sun burst through a crack in Earth's magnetosphere a few days later. While a spiral pattern is discernible, the complex glow could be imagined as many common icons. In the foreground of this image is the tranquil Icelandic landscape.
