COSMIC MESSAGE

From about three-quarters of a mile from the geographic South Pole, a partial solar eclipse was visible on December 4. The New Moon blocked 90 percent of the solar disk. Crews at the South Pole Telescope and BICEP telescope watched the event from the roof of the Amundsen-Scott station's Dark Sector Laboratory.
