COSMIC MESSAGE
This colorful skyscape in Cepheus shows nebula-rich starfields along the Milky Way. The Cave Nebula, Sharpless (Sh) 155, is at the center of the frame, about 2,400 light-years away. This cosmic cave, about 10 light-years across, has bright walls of gas ionized by ultraviolet light from hot, young stars around it. Dark dust clouds are also visible throughout the region.
