The Spanish Dancer Spiral Galaxy
NGC 1566, also known as The Spanish Dancer, is a spiral galaxy 40 million light-years away in the constellation Dorado. It presents a gorgeous face-on view with two prominent, graceful spiral arms. These arms are traced by bright blue star clusters and dark cosmic dust lanes, making it a very photogenic galaxy.
