COSMIC MESSAGE
The Virgo Cluster is the closest large galaxy cluster to our local galaxy group, about 50 million light-years distant. This telescopic field of view shows several of its galaxies, including the bright elliptical galaxies M87, M84, and M86. M84 and M86 are part of Markarian's Chain, a visually striking line-up of galaxies.
