Dark markings and bright nebulae in this telescopic view are signs of active star formation in the Chamaeleon I Molecular Cloud. Located about 650 light-years away, this region includes dusty reflection nebulae like the C-shaped Ced 110 and the bluish Ced 111. The orange tinted V-shape of the Chamaeleon I nebula is also prominent.
