Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS Approaches

Comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan, ATLAS) is becoming unexpectedly bright as it approaches its closest points to the Sun and Earth. While comet brightness is hard to predict, there is a chance it could become visible to the unaided eye. It will pass closest to the Sun this week and closest to Earth early next month. This image shows the comet's growing coma and tail.
