The Triangulum Galaxy, also known as Messier 33, is a prominent member of our Local Group of galaxies, only 3 million light-years away. This sharp portrait shows its central 60,000 light-years, featuring numerous reddish ionized hydrogen clouds, or HII regions. These giant HII regions sprawl along the galaxy's loose spiral arms.
