Dust Shells around WR 140 from Webb
These strange, dust-rich rings are likely three-dimensional shells around the binary star system WR 140, located about 6,000 light-years away in Cygnus. This system is dominated by a Wolf-Rayet star, known for its powerful stellar winds. The rings, captured by the Webb Space Telescope, are a topic of ongoing research.
