Rima Hyginus is a long, narrow fissure on the Moon, about 220 kilometers long, near the center of the lunar near side. This image uses exaggerated colors to highlight the mineral composition of the lunar soil. The Hyginus crater, about 10 kilometers wide, is a volcanic caldera, not an impact crater, and sits within this prominent groove.
