NGC 3521 is a spiral galaxy about 35 million light-years away in the constellation Leo. It's a relatively bright galaxy, easily visible through small telescopes. This image shows its patchy, irregular spiral arms and regions of pink star formation. The galaxy spans about 50,000 light-years.
