Northern Summer Twilight
NASA APOD · Justin Anderson
COSMIC MESSAGE
Noctilucent, or night-shining, clouds appear near the edge of space, about 80 kilometers above Earth's surface. These icy clouds reflect sunlight even after the Sun has set, creating a luminous twilight display. This particular image was captured north of Forrest, Manitoba, Canada, during the northern summer.
