New Comet SWAN25B over Mexico

COSMIC MESSAGE
A newly discovered comet, C/2025 R2 (SWAN), is already visible with binoculars. Nicknamed SWAN25B, it is brightening significantly as it emerges from the Sun's direction. While comet brightnesses are hard to predict, many appear brighter as they approach Earth. SWAN25B will reach a quarter of the Earth-Sun distance around October 19.
