Equinox Sunset

The Sun sets in a slightly different direction every day. While it always sets approximately to the west, on an equinox it sets due west. After the September equinox, the Sun will set increasingly to the southwest, reaching its maximum displacement at the December solstice. Before the equinox, it set to the northwest.
