NASA APOD · Tunç Tezel (TWAN) Text: Keighley Rockcliffe (NASA GSFC, UMBC CSST, CRESST II)
COSMIC MESSAGE

On 6 May 2026, Saturn and Neptune appeared to slide backward against the stars; a 34-night composite by Tunç Tezel caught them passing close. The two planets haven't been this near in the night sky since their 1989 conjunction.
