NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

LDN 1471 is an illuminated, parabolic cavity in the Perseus Molecular Cloud. A newly forming star, visible at the peak of the parabola, created this structure. The protostar's stellar outflow interacts with the surrounding material, causing it to brighten, while dark dust hides the other side of the cavity.
