The Doubly Warped World of Binary Black Holes
Imagine two black holes orbiting each other, each with an accretion disk. Light from these disks travels through space warped by extreme gravity, creating bizarre visual effects. This computer visualization shows a red disk around a 200-million-solar-mass black hole and a blue disk around a 100-million-solar-mass black hole. The light rays are bent and distorted, revealing the strange physics of binary black holes.
