An Energetic Radio Galaxy

This image combines radio and optical views of the radio galaxy 3C368, revealing energetic processes at work. The optical light is shown in red, with radio emission contoured in blue. Radio galaxies like this one emit powerful signals, usually indicating extreme phenomena. Scientists, including those using the Hubble Space Telescope, are still working to understand the unusual features seen here.
