Sextans A: A Seemingly Square Galaxy

Sextans A is a dwarf irregular galaxy, about 5 million light-years away and 5 thousand light-years across. Around 100 million years ago, an unknown event triggered a wave of star formation in its center. Massive, short-lived stars exploded as supernovae, leading to more star formation and more supernovae, creating the galaxy's diamond-like structure.
