An Inner Neptune for 55 Cancri

This image shows 55 Cancri, a star like our Sun, orbited by an inner planet with a mass similar to Neptune's. Discovered using data from the Hobby-Eberly Telescope, Lick Observatory, and Hubble Space Telescope, this planet orbits closer to its star than Mercury does to ours. It is one of four planets known to orbit 55 Cancri, hinting at complex planetary systems beyond our own.
