A Map of Asteroid Vesta

Vesta is a 500-kilometer asteroid orbiting beyond Mars, mapped by the Hubble Space Telescope in 1997. The map reveals a rugged surface dominated by a massive crater that spans nearly its entire length. This crater, visible in blue for low terrain and red for high terrain, suggests a tremendous collision in Vesta's past.
