The Milky Way over the Temple of Poseidon
The Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion, Greece, stands under the Milky Way in this image. The temple's lights illuminate the foreground and reflect on the Aegean Sea. One of the wide light rays points towards the Lagoon Nebula, a star-forming region within the central band of our galaxy. This alignment creates a striking connection between ancient architecture and distant cosmic wonders.
