Ganymede: Moonquake World

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

Ganymede is the largest moon in our solar system, bigger than the planets Mercury and Pluto. This Jupiter moon has a thick ice crust with many cracks and grooves. Scientists believe these features are evidence of tectonic plates, similar to Earth's, which cause frequent moonquakes. Ganymede was discovered by Galileo in 1610.
